Support for Parents of Neurodivergent Kids.

Hello! I used to use this page to sell a course.
But when I sat with it (and, honestly, when I stopped trying to push something that didn’t feel aligned), I realized what I wanted more than anything was a place to gather my thoughts. A place to put tiny notes about parenting, nervous systems, creativity, and the way life feels when you’re trying to raise neurodivergent kids while being a tender, human, slightly-feral person yourself.

So I’m keeping the name Community, but I’m letting the content breathe into something new.

I don’t offer any more programs or memberships or sales funnels. I’m exhausted by the monetization of our isolation as parents and I bet you are too.

So now this page is simply a place where I leave the door open.

If your child is struggling with regulation at home or school, if you’re working to understand their sensitivities, neurodiversity, and individual needs, you already know that the world is a tough place for your child to feel safe. It’s often up to you as the parent to be their safe place, yet it can feel completely overwhelming to understand what’s going on.

When I was in the midst of supporting my own child (and myself) through their individual differences and diagnosis, I only wished I had a person I knew Icould go to with questions and fears, someone who knew both professionally and personally what it’s like to raise a child with similar struggles, and could provide med with resources and reassurances at every turn.

That’s why I’m so passionate about connecting parents like me with each other! As I work to raise my own two differently-wired kids, I’ve leaned on my community at The Real Work to work together to put together supports for parents like us!

“Our children do well when they feel well, and when parents feel like they can’t support their child’s regulation needs the parent-child relationship, the core of healthy attachment, is at risk.”

When your child’s school and community dismisses their neurodivergence and takes a shaming approach, your child is left physically unable to do well. We have to fight for them.”

There are a limited number of years before your child is out on their own. Parents of neurodivergent children especially are all too aware of the limited time they have to positively influence their child’s growth and development. When you have a child who’s really struggling, the stakes feel that much higher.

Whether you’re navigating a new autism diagnosis, processing your child’s experience of ADHD, or are somewhere in-between, parents of differently-wired kids are struggling to find support and as a result our kids are losing out.

I know from experience that parenting a neurodivergent child is not about quick fixes. It’s about stamina, and grit, and working together to craft a sustainable plan that’s authentic to YOUR family.

This community membership was inspired after years of practicing in Beaverton, Oregon as as a child therapist. I grew to LOVE working with and supporting parents, and found that all of us had something in common: We all wanted a way to craft a loving and sensory-rich environment that promotes social, emotional, and neurological growth and development.

So, this membership is an app with access to resources, including pre-recorded workshops, pdfs, live Q&A chats, and a community of like-minded parents who are all working towards creating neuro-affirming homes for their children.

Since we are busy parents, you’ll have the flexibility to learn at your own pace and access content and resources whenever it's convenient for you. You'll also receive regular updates and new content to ensure that you're always up-to-date on the latest strategies and techniques for creating a neuro-affirming home environment.

By becoming a member, you'll have the ongoing support, guidance, and resources you need to create a home environment that supports your child's neurological development and overall well-being. You'll be equipped with the tools and strategies to help your child thrive, both now and in the future.
